Introducing a new brand on my blog today which I have
discovered recently through the brand PR people. I consider myself extremely
fortunate to work with some amazing people and find hidden beauty gems. And if
those gems are skincare, then it is like early birthday present to me. I personally enjoy “not so
generic” brands. They feel exclusive and provide thoughtful services because
they compete with mainstream brands to leave their mark.
[M]Botanicals is a UK based natural organic skincare brand.
Most of their ingredients are plant-based. Few ingredients such as niacinamide
and peptides are developed in lab. [M]Botanicals has comparatively small but
decent range of face and body products. One can find all the basic face and
body products like moisturisers, bar soaps, face and body washes. [M]Botanical
products smell like fancy spa products, very fresh and delicately herbal at the same
time.
I was sent two products - daily rejuvenator cream and
uplifting sugar body polish. I love their packaging - minimalist and
corresponding to the brand philosophy. I received both products a few days ago
and started using them right away. I can’t give my full verdict for daily
rejuvenator yet, as skincare products show results after a little while.
However, the initial impression is quite pleasant. I will give my full insight
in couple of weeks’ times.
[M]Botanical uplifting sugar body polish is an instant hit with
me. It is not a complicated product to dig down all the nitty gritty. It is a
sugar based body scrub, loaded with natural oils and mango butter. Sugar buffs
away dead skin while mango butter and sunflower oil moisturise skin. It smells
delicious and I was smelling incredible all day long. I wish you could smell it
through your screens though J. It
has an uplifting and refreshing scent. It has bergamot, frankincense and
geranium oils. It comes in a big plastic tub with screw top lid, making it
quite easy to scoop out the product without any fuss.
It costs £20 for a 250g tub. Now some of you may find it
ridiculously expensive and a waste of money for just sugar in a tub. And I
totally understand that. I also feel the same for many things. But how many of
us make our own scrubs with so many oils and butters and use it every day,
right? It is a spa kind of product and if you compare it with one time spa
treatment and experience, then the price is not that steep for in-home
pampering session. However, if they consider lowering the price a bit, it can easily become a staple in everyones' bath. The moisturising properties of this body polish give it an edge. I
literally don’t need to use any moisturiser afterwards.
It is also very gentle on skin as sugar is the main
ingredient and on wet skin it melts before it irritates skin. My body skin is sensitive
to harsh scrubs just like my face and can develop rash easily from any
abrasive product. But this leaves skin feeling very smooth, soft and nourishes at
the same time. It is gentle enough for daily use. All the ingredients are 100% natural
and plant-based. It is suitable for vegan. [M]Botanicals uplifting body polish
is a scrub, moisturiser and body fragrance, all combined in one product. Make
sure that you store the product in cool and dry place to protect ingredients
from melting. If you want to treat yourself, then I will highly recommend it.

best opinion on every product I use.
It is a little on the pricey said but like you said it is spa quality. Plus I have very sensitive skin so this would be great for me x
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with the price. It would be nice if they lower it a bit.
DeleteThe sugar scrub sounds wonderfully decadent, I really like the scent combination they have for this one. I always love a good sugar scrub and I would try this one.
ReplyDeleteIt smells divine.
DeleteSugar scrubs are my favourite! They seem to be the only thing that will get the dead skin off my t-zone. I find them harder to get hold of these days, I can never seem to pick them up on the high street. This scrub looks absolutely divine though x

ReplyDeleteI do like a good sugar scrub I'd have to be able to try before I buy though thats the problem!! If I'm smothering my body in it I want to know the smell, texture and what its gonna feel like on the skin!
ReplyDeleteThat's the only issue with online shopping. you can't actually experience product before investing in it.
