KVD is launching in UK exclusive to Debenhams next week on 13th of September. So before the official launch, over the bank holiday Debenhams introduced a limited edition makeup set called London calling. This box contained three KVD bestselling products, picked by Kat herself. KVD Tattoo eyeliner, everlasting liquid lipstick and studded kiss lipstick. All the products are deluxe size.
I never owned any product from KVD before this so it was a perfect opportunity for me to familiarise myself with the brand and
to try out some of the most talked about products.
Let’s first talk about the liquid lipstick. The shade is
double dare. Double dare is a matte coral-pink shade with a hint of brown. KVD
liquid lipsticks are very popular and have high ratings among the beauty community.
So that was natural for me to try it out first. I was a bit scared due to the
fact that I am not very comfortable with liquid lipsticks. I have dry lips that’s
why I stay away from lip plumping products and liquid lipsticks. But it came as
a surprise to me. The formula of lipstick is very soft and comfortable to wear.
It stayed put for a very long time and survived all my meals which is a win win
for me. It didn’t fade or budge or
bleed. What more can we ask for? The shade double dare is also absolutely beautiful.
It is very uplifting shade and I believe it will suit any skin tone.
Next item is KVD studded kiss lipstick in shade Lolita. This
shade is a cult favourite in both bullet and liquid lipsticks. A very beautiful
dusty rose, which is my type of shade. I wanted to swatch it but this mini
lipstick is so cute that I couldn’t bring myself to ruin it. I hope it doesn’t make
me a bad beauty blogger. I already bumped the tip with the cap and it has a dent
now *sad face*.
Last item is the KVD tattoo eyeliner. This product created
a lot of buzz when released. I was dying to get my hands on it. but as it was
not available in UK and I couldn’t bring myself to order it all the way from
USA. I am glad I got it now. I loved this product so much that I have decided
to dedicate a full blogpost to tattoo eyeliner *spoiler alert*. So stay tuned
for that. KVD tattoo eyeliner is vegan friendly.
KVD lipsticks are vegan and carmine-free, making it
possible to be in everybody’s reach. Vegan/vegetarian lipsticks are usually
very expensive and they don’t have tons of shades. I personally prefer
carmine-free lip products especially when they are expensive. It is also a big
hassle to ask companies about every single shade which is carmine-free in their
collection. Hence a whole lip products range being vegan gives me a piece of
mind and I can pick any shade without being worried every time.
I hope you enjoyed my review. If you have any recommendation
from KVD which I must acquire then do let me know in the comment section below.
KVD products will be available at Debenhams website on Tuesday.
