Hello
Everyone
For next couple of months,
my blog will be taken over by so many spring/summer appropriate products. I am
feeling absolutely happy about it and I don’t have any freaking idea why.
Let’s talk some bronzer
today, shall we?
I am not much of a bronzer
lover. Powder bronzer looks very muddy on my face and due to my oily skin
dilemma I never tried any cream product. I only have Soap & Glory Solar
Powder which I use for light contouring and I really like it for that purpose. Since,
it is matte, not very brown or orange, just perfect colour for contouring. To be honest, those ashy tone contouring products don't look good on me either. However this season
I got L’Oréal limited edition Glam Bronzer Eau De Soleil. I believe it was
released in USA last year, but it’s new to UK.
I really liked the
packaging. A solid and sleek glass bottle feels very satisfying in my hands.
It is a liquid bronzer with
very light consistency, almost watery. The consistency is same as the L’Oréal
famous Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation, light almost weightless. A high end counterpart for this foundation is Lancome Miracle Air De Teint, you can read my review here. That was
the main reason which drawn me towards this product and I convinced myself to
slightly broaden my horizon in terms of bronzer. It was a bold step for me to be taken.
Due to the light consistency
it doesn't feel on the skin at all. It blends beautifully like a dream into nothing with soft, velvety finish. It doesn't claim to be oil free, but it is
not sticky or tacky at all. It has definitely Dimethicone crosspolymer, which
in simple words is silicon. If you are allergic to silicon polymers or not a
big fan of silicon based products then you may want to avoid it.
It does have some sparkle
but not over the top like chunky glitters. It adds beautiful yet subtle bronzy
glow to the skin.
Before application, the
bronzer needs a good shake. Only downside is, there is no pump on bottle and I
have to use my fingers which can be:
1) Unhygienic
2) You can get way too much
of product
Little goes awfully long
way. You really need very, very little
amount of product to use. I use this bronzer only for contouring under my cheek
hollows but if you desire it can be mixed with foundation for the gorgeous tan
skin. My complexion is wheatish and fake tan is definitely not for me. Even If
I ever try I will look like I spend a whole day in dusty and polluted
environment.
I start applying the product
with my finger and then blend with blending brush for a soft finish.
My final verdict is L’Oréal
Glam Bronzer Eau De Soliel is a gorgeous little product. If you are bronzer
junkie, add this in your stash immediately.
Happy Spring or Summer if it
is already where you are J
