Winter Cleaning

Winter is here and it is time to do winter cleaning. Toss some empty products, chuck out old and used to death cosmetics and change my skin care regime, more suitable for colder weather.

Drugstore Underdogs

I am so intrigued to share my drugstore beauty underdogs with you guys. Usually we all get lured by those fancy packaging, advertisement and more importantly, clever placing of skincare and cosmetics products in departmental stores. But there are tons of goodies in drugstores, which can do decent job for the money and mostly get ignored because they are available at the friction of price.

Launch, Introduction and First Impression of Well Beeing Products

Over a weekend got an invitation from a really sweet guy Ottheman Bellucci from Well-Beeing to attend an event at KUCH KHAS in Islamabad, to check out their newly born 100% natural, suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans, Skincare and Cosmetics range.

Did somebody say 100% natural? Hmm... Count me in. I am natural and organic Skincare fanatic. I can go anywhere to get my hands on them. As the time passes by I am inclining more and more towards natural products. So attending this event was a must.

REVIEW: Alexi Accessories

Hey Lovelies,

A couple of weeks ago a super nice lady from Alexi Accessories contacted me and offered me to pick any item from their signature collection for review purpose.

Alexi is a new British jewellery brand that celebrates the essence of femininity via jewellery. That’s what they say and I couldn't agree more.

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara Review

When it comes to mascaras, my preference most of the time are from high street brands. I personally feel that when they get it right, they get it brilliant. And mascara is the only makeup product from which I get bore pretty much very quickly. They are more prone to bacteria build ups and can dry out without any reason. Nevertheless, there is high end mascara which has a special place in my heart and that is Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara.

Let's Go Shopping... A Day With Me

Welcome to my blog ladies.

I had to go to John Lewis to buy a Liz Earl eye serum. So I decided to take you people along with me for shopping. Shall we??
In my way to the store, I came across this illusionist. This man was suspended in air, like he was sitting on some kind of invisible chair. It was crazy and hilarious at the same time.

Pretty cool Haan!!! I always love such little perks and acts in town centre. It just makes whole shopping experience a lot more fun.

Lancome Miracle Air de Teint Foundation Review

Hey Lovelies….

A good foundation can get tricky to find. I believe a foundation is something very personal. Not necessarily, one foundation which works wonder for your friend can work the same for you, even having same skin type. But we can get general idea and work our way to get that perfect flawless finish.

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick

Hey Lovelies….

Soap & Glory is treating my craving for make up so well that I can’t think about any other high street brand. My current obsession from the line is Sexy Mother Pucker gloss stick. It is kind of trend now a days to have a chubby crayon in bag and look fashionista. But this is my favourite of all.

New! Garnier Ultimate Blends Haircare

Hey lovelies….

When it comes to hair care, I am very selective and always prefer natural options. I personally believe that shampoos and conditioners cannot make hair healthier and stronger because that only happens with good diet and healthy scalp. But also, we don’t want to strip hair natural oils and make them rough looking with all the strong chemicals in hair care products after every wash.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer

Hey lovelies….

I love Soap & Glory lately a lot and I mean it. Any product I tried from this brand won me over. None of my Boots visit is complete without a sneaky look into Soap & Glory aisle. I am so convince that in near future this brand will give a tough time to its contenders. I can’t make my mind why I love this brand. Is it because of their very cute retro packaging or those perky names they give to their products or, the amazing and mind blowing products themselves? But whatever it is, I am pleased that this brand exists on planet earth.

Hey Lovelies….

Today I am going to do a birthday haul blog post. This is my first post of a kind. Very few but totally mind blowing. If you are interested in this kind of post then please keep on reading.

Lipcote Lipstick Sealer

Hey Lovelies….

I am a lipstick eater. If I go to any function, after an hour or so, I have to refresh my lipstick which can be a bit annoying sometimes. So I decided to give Lipcote a try and see how this product works.

Lipcote is a clear liquid comes in a small glass bottle with a brush applicator. When I received it first, I was shocked with the amount of product but they claim 100 applications out of one bottle. When I opened it for the first time, the fragrance really put me off. It has very strong alcoholic fragrance but once apply, its gone. It also stings a bit but not very bad.

First I scrubbed my lips and applied a lip balm. This step is not necessary but why I took an extra was because of the essential oils in Lipcote and some reviews from previous user claiming it to dries out lips. Before getting started with the lip colour, it is important to wipe any excess balm from lips or otherwise there is a chance of lip colour to slip. The scrub I uses is Lush Santa and lip balm is Burt Bees. Never mind my balm tin, it is quite beaten up

I followed instruction exactly the same way what was recommended on the box. Lip liner, Lipstick, blotting, repeat lipstick then Lipcote, wait for 3 minutes and let the product dry completely with lips apart . Well let me add that it is a time consuming process but with bold lips, taking an extra measure can make a huge difference.

Lipcote claims a kiss proof lipstick. I am not really sure about it. Because my lips did leave some light mark on glass but if consider the amount of colour I applied and the formula of lipstick, then it can get an edge. You can use matte lipstick and apply a lip gloss on top as well.

I used a creamy formula for lipstick to check lipcote real deal. And I must say that I liked this product. After good four hours with eating and drinking the lipstick looked fresh and stayed on place. Seriously no smudge, no budge. I didn't feel my lips dry but still on a safe side I applied my TBS Satsuma lip balm on top of lipcote. And it gave my lips a very nice finish. The Body Shop Satsuma balm has shimmer in it.

Over all I am happy with my purchase and will definitely buy it again. And Yes, it works very well with glossy finish lipstick as well.

I hope you like this review. Please leave your comment below and share your thoughts

Biggest Regrets of 2013 (Skin care edition)

Hey Lovelies….

I know that I am a bit late in this bandwagon but I really wanted to make sure what should go in this article. Because this is my first blog post of such kind and I don’t want to misguide anyone.
I am not an impulsive shopper, so there are usually very little misses for me. But if I really want to buy something, I do a very deep research.

But somehow, people talked me through to buy these products and they were absolutely rubbish. Reviews are solely based on my personal experience.

Happy New Year 2014 !!!!

Hey Lovelies….

So, 2013 is behind us and 2014 is calling upon us to explore new horizons. I am not much of New Year resolutions person, but definitely there are few things which I really want to make part of my life, few gorgeous products which I am dreaming for long time and few little objectives to achieve.
