Flirty, Fabulous Hair in Winter but How

Hey Lovelies…

Caught up in so many ideas to get healthy, shiny hair this winter but don’t know from where to start???? Then look no further because I am here to rescue. Just follow these simple steps every day and see the difference in no time.

Eat Healthy

Eating healthy means healthy hair. Food enriched with vitamins, protein and omega-3 fatty acids are the keys to healthy, shiny and stronger hair. Consumption of sea food once a week, a handful of mixed nuts and green vegetables can [provide all the essential nutrients for your hair. Like vitamin E is different nuts helps to protect hair cells from DNA damage. Omega-3 fatty acid keeps scalp and hair strands hydrated.

Don’t over wash

We all want clean, flirty and fabulous hair everyday but washing hair everyday can strip natural oil, leaving hair dry and making strands brittle. A gap between washes will actually help in distributing hair oil evenly. For oily hair, it is better to shampoo on alternate days and for dry and coarse hair after two or three days.  Because dry hair needs more care. After washing a coat of few drops of any, not so oily, oil on hair will keep strands nourish and will protect from environmental elements.

Say no to heat and over styling

Blow dry, colouring, flat ironing the list can go on; all these are disaster for your hair strands. Try to eliminate heat styling as much as possible. Let your hair dry naturally. Do not style your hair very tight. It can put a lot of stress on hair and can stretch to extent where breakage is easy. Always protect your hair with hat or scarf when going out in the sun to protect you hair from UV rays. Use leave-in conditioner when heading to the pool or beach.

Nourish your hair

Just like face skin, your scalp also needs good deep conditioning. This can be home-made or can be purchased from market. Once in a week a good massage on scalp with any hair oil will stimulate blood flow towards the scalp to combat any dryness or flakiness. Want to know how to condition your hair with oils? Read my previous post.

Trim those ends

I know, I know that cutting hair cannot make them grow faster and longer. But dry end are more prone to become split ends. To avoid hair from splitting, it is nice to cut those brittle ends off. Don’t do it every week or month if you don’t need to. One another NO NO for hair is that if you really want to have strong hair then never sleep with loose hair to eliminate the hair and pillow friction.

I hope you enjoy these tips. Try them and you will find a significant difference in the health of your hair.

How to Long Last Makeup | Tip of The Day

Hey Lovelies….

Summer is at its peak and always brings so many perks with it. Means lots of fresh food, visit to beach, hitting the pool and BBQ hmmmm…

But the main problem of make up lovers faces, is the oily skin and foundation meltdown. The answer to this question is so simple… Aloe vera gel.

Believe me, all those fancy shmancy primers can fill all the pores and lines but can’t control oil well. After a couple of hour one must blot oil or pile up the layers of face powder, which can end up giving a very cakey look.

Oil Therapy for Shiny and Healthy Hair…

I heard so many people are actually really scared of using oil in their hair. I always wonder why. I personally feel that all these expensive shampoo and conditioners only work on the outer surface of your stands and don’t nourish hair from within. Basically, hair cells are dead when come out of the scalp; it is actually the scalp which needs a good look after just like the rest of our body skin. And if scalp is healthy, hair will automatically look healthy and more manageable.  Dry and itchy scalp can lead to thinning out of hair and finally hair loss.

Mark The Change of Season With Versace Versense!!!

Hello Lovelies....

Today I am going to talk about Versense Eau de Toilette Natural Spray from Versace which is my ultimate favourite perfume for summer. This perfume was introduced by Versace in 2009 and I got it from Dubai duty free in 2010, I believe.

The perfume is enclosed in a refined crystal bottle. The look of the bottle is so luxurious. Bottle is made with the linear shape and decorated with the Medusa logo. The colour of perfume is light green which screams freshness enclosed.

It has strong notes of citric but at the same time floral notes can easily be distinguished. It is very light and springy/summery perfume. Versense fragrance notes are bergamot, green mandarin, fig, sea lily, cardamom, jasmine, cedar, sandal wood, olive wood and musk.

It is perfect fusion of freshness and sensuality. It gives me a very happy sensation and evokes vital energy. For all of you who are looking for not so sweet perfume, this is the ultimate. I personally don't like very sweet fragrances just like used to wear in my teenage, so that's why I always come back to this perfume in summer. I will highly recommend it.

I hope you enjoy this perfume. Feel free to leave your comment.

DIY: Mask for Oily Skin

Hey Lovelies....

Oily skin can be very tricky to handle sometimes, especially in humid atmosphere. It can be prone to spots, discolouration and uneven skin tones. I also have an oily skin and experience all these problems time to time. My approach towards skin care is as much as possible, Natural. So, today I am gonna share a very simple and easy DIY mask to combat these entire problem when apply at least once a week.

It is a chickpea flour mask with lemon and turmeric.
Chickpea Flour

Chickpea flour is also known as besan or garbanzo beans flour. It has been used for ages to clean and exfoliate the dead skin. People have been using this to wash their faces instead of soap. Because it is gentle and also remove any oil and dirt form the skin.

Lemon is a very good bleaching agent. It works very well to fade any post blemish marks and to correct any uneven skin.
Turmeric powder

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, so it cools down all the spot and also prevents spreading the bacteria.

As this mask has lemon in it (although very little amount), so it is recommended to avoid the sun exposure after the application. It is better to apply this mask at night.

Now note down what you will need for this mask:

  1. Chickpea flour ( Besan) 2 tbspoons
  2. Turmeric a small pinch
  3. Lemon 3 to 4 drops
  4. Rose water or plain water to mix
  5. Spatula or can use fingers for application

Just mix everything together to make a paste. Apply on your face and neck. Wait for 10 or until dry. Rinse with normal tap water slightly scrubbing it off. You will see an instant effect. Your complexion will look more radiant and fresh.

Do not use any face wash after taking off the mask. If you notice a yellow tint, better to leave it that way and then wash your face with any mild soap in the morning.

P.S. If you have combination skin, you can use few drops of glycerine in it as well to moisturise your skin at the same time :)

I hope you enjoy this mask. Please leave your comments
