Organic Shop Hair Care Review

Organic Shop is a new hair care brand to me which offers 98% natural origin ingredients based products. Organic shop hair care products are SLS and parabens free. I received a set of shampoo, conditioner and hair mask in raspberry and acai fragrance range which is design to boost volume, strengthen and thicken hair. My hair lacks all these characteristics because my hair is thin in texture, straight and oily and does not have lots of volume.

Another thing which really attracted me towards the range is silicon free conditioner. Oh boy do I hate silicon in hair products. I feel silicon weighs hair down and is an unnecessary ingredient. I know, it gives smooth shiny finish to hair but it also leaves a film behind which can clog scalp and causes dandruff if no other cleansing product is used once a week to remove any build ups.
I used my products a couple of times and I really enjoyed them. A combination of shampoo and conditioner leave my hair very soft and give a nice volume. All products smell delicious too. Raspberry and acai fragrance is vibrant and fresh which awakes senses in shower. Love the addition of pump to bottles. It makes life a whole lot easier.

Third product I got is hair mask. It is rather thick and creamy mask and comes in a big tub. According to the direction, apply the product generously on hair; leave it for 3-4 minutes, then rinse. I used this mask only one time. But i didn’t like it. Not because it is a bad product but I found it a bit thick and heavy for my hair type. I run my fingers a lot in my hair so if I feel any residue, I don’t like the feeling. It left my hair a bit oilier because this is fairly moisturising mask. It could be a good addition in my hair care routine but unfortunately it didn’t work out for me. But this is totally my opinion. However, if you like thick creamy hair mask, it is a fantastic product.

Organic Shop products are available at Tesco and Organicshop website. Each product costs £2.50. Organic Shop also offers other ranges such as Pomegranate and Patchouli, Coconut and Shea butter, Avocado and Honey and Amla and Argan ranges.

  3. I imagine this might be a silly question given the name but do you know as to whether these hair products are cruelty free? I like the sound of the silicon free conditioner.

  6. I have an organic blog and...I hate to say it so much...but I haven't yet found a natural shampoo which is good for my blonde hair long term. I have had to go back to Aveda products which are as natural as I can get while still working. Like Ana, I'd like to know if this is cruelty free, as I'd certainly give anything organic a good and hopeful try!
