[M] Botanical Daily Rejuvenator Review

organic-natural-handmade-skincare

Last month I did an introductory post about [M] Botanical brand – a UK based brand which offers hand-made, organic and plant based skincare products. I was sent two products for review purpose, a sugar body scrub and a face moisturiser. In my previous post, I reviewed [M] Botanical uplifting sugar bodypolish and left the daily rejuvenator face moisturiser for a future review post after giving it a good road test. Today is the future review post where I will be talking about Daily Rejuvenator, a face moisturiser design and developed for mature skin.

This product comes in a dark glass bottle with a high quality pump, a nice addition to keep things hygienic. A simple apothecary style white label with plain text explains the product and ingredients in the easiest way possible. I love the minimalist approach.

It has prickly pear, pumpkin and rose hip oil to revive and rejuvenate skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid and vitamin E for instant hydration and to keep skin supple and nourish. There are other bunch of potent ingredients which make this moisturiser stand with high end moisturiser. It has faint herby and botanical fragrance. I know many people are not fan of such fragrance but it doesn’t linger.

As I mention earlier, this moisturiser is specifically design for mature skin. It is highly moisturising product, appropriate for mature skin which needs a little extra love. It doesn’t mean it can’t be used by everyone else. The consistency of moisturiser is like traditional face creams, slightly thick. However, it doesn’t feel heavy on skin like old school face creams due to the fact that it is not petroleum/mineral oil based product. Mainly plants based oils, wiped to soft creamy texture. It sinks into skin immediately for fresh feeling. It feels oily specially on my T-zone because I have oily skin, but hydrating at the same time.

I use it only at night time as it is a bit heavy for me to use at daytime. I tried it under my foundation for review purpose. It provides a nice base and sits nicely underneath foundation as a day moisturiser. I didn’t experience any breaking or slipping of foundation. However, it can make you shiny if you have already oily skin to begin with.

I have used tons of moisturiser from drug store brands to departmental brands. My skin gets dehydrated very easily therefore I have used many heavy/rich face creams too in the past. And the main issue I have with other creams is that I feel like my skin has stopped breathing. I don’t experience this with face rejuvenator. It is very similar to my all time favourite Avene Skin recovery cream which is very light on skin but gives intense hydration. That’s why I am rating it quite high. You can compare it with any high-end moisturiser in terms of ingredients and performace and I guarantee it will not disappoint you.

I will highly recommend it to everyone. It is a perfect daily moisturiser for normal to dry skin and dehydrated skin for that extra boost. Not recommended for super oily to oily skin because of heavy formula and it can actually break you out. On warm day I got a bump on my chin at the end of the day. It costs £32 for 50ml bottle on [M] Botanical website.

  1. This cream is full of goodness. I also like using a heavier texture at night when it absorbs in the skin and has time to work its wonders.

  3. I do have mature skin that needs extra loving, and especially since my recent holiday I am fighting rehydration for some reason, my usual moisturisers just seem to not be working as well. I will have a look at this product a bit more x

  15. I want to try some of this so bad!! I love the vintage brow bottle in comes in, I get very dry skin so I guess this would be really good on my skin and not very oily as apposed to like you said on someone that does have oily skin.
