Wakeup Call for Skin: Elemis BIOTEC Skin Energising Cleanser Review

Skin cleansers and face washes are my weakness when it comes to skincare products. This is the only product where I have been spending my money since the beginning. Because my skin is prone to blocked pores and occasional break out if I don't cleanse it properly.
After using tons of cleansers, it is rather difficult to impress me with the results. I find most of face washes in particular, work the same. The only wash-off face cleanser stayed in my skincare routine longer than any other was Clinique gel and I really enjoyed it. But for some reason my skin started reacting to gel cleansers and I found them a bit over drying for my skin. Therefore, I moved to foam cleansers.

Foam cleansers were working fine for me till last year. However, as I age now I can’t use foam cleansers on daily bases due to slight change in my skin. I always had super oily skin in my teens and twenties but now my skin is less oily in summer and gets dehydrate and imbalance in winter.

So, it was a time to revisit skincare products and add some new heroes to rescue my less radiant post winter skin. I got myself newly launched Eelmis BIOTEC Skin Energising system. This system has a face cleanser, a day cream and a night cream. Although I can tell you my thought about the whole system already. However, today I will only be sharing my thoughts on biotec cleanser.

Elemis biotec skin energising cleanser has three key ingredients, electrolytes & minerals; potassium, calcium, zinc etc. and trio of acids; succinic acid, lactic acid and ferulic acid along other natural ingredients like amber extract and fruit oils.

The biotec skin energising cleanser comes in transparent, 200 ml plastic bottle with a pump. And if you look at these pictures, this cleanser has tiny bubbles suspended in it which give very fresh vibes. Only two to three pumps of cleanser are needed. Lather with water and cleanse the face.

I have been using this cleanser for two weeks, twice a day now and I am absolutely loving it. I can see a visible difference in my skin. It leaves my skin feeling very fresh, soft and clean. I don’t experience any tightness at all. It sure gives a boost of energy and my skin feels very rejuvenated. Lactic acid and fruit oils help in removing dead skin cells while nourishing skin at the same time, leaving it glowing and bright. The foam it makes also feel very nice on skin. In morning it acts like a cup of coffee for my skin. This is the best cleanser I have used so far and it smells amazing just like a fancy spa. If you are familiar with Caudalie beauty elixir, it smells exactly the same, refreshing and uplifting. It is suitable for all skin types.

Two pumps of  BIOTEC cleanser

It can be used as a makeup cleanser but I use it as second cleanser after removing first layer of makeup, to cleanse any residue of makeup and prep my skin for further pampering. I always do double cleanse anyway if I have makeup on even if I have to do it every night.

Elemis biotec skin energising cleanser is no doubt expensive for a facewash and it costs £39. But you need very little amount. The pump dispenses very controlled amount of product without wasting any. And 200 ml is a lot of product. I took these picture after using it twice a day for one week and you can barley tell. I believe it will last ages. If you are looking for a high end cleanser which provides visible results, then do check Elemis BIOTEC Skin Energising Cleanser. It worth spending your money.

  6. I haven't heard of the Elemis Biotic Skin Care range before! Firstly, I love the packaging. I love the clear bottle! These products sound fantastic and its good to know you have already seen visible results! They are a bit on the pricey side but I imagine they'd last a while and really, if they give the results they say, they are certainly worth the money! Great post. xx

  7. I'm very picky with my cleansers and make sure they have a certain pH level, but this sounds like something I'd definitely try! I love cleansers that really 'wake up' the skin.

  12. Great review of these products. I am always trying out different cleanser mainly because our skin gets used to a product after a while so I like to switch things up once in a while. I have never heard or tried Elemis products but they sure sound good and worth checking them out.

    Thanks for sharing
