Being a beauty blogger, I am always expected to be all made up with absolute blemish free skin achieved with tones of makeup products on my face. However, the reality is completely opposite to this. I hardly go out with full face of makeup products. I am a strong believer of bare minimum when it comes to makeup. Fresh and glowing complexion with skin imperfections peeking through is my go-to makeup look. The more temperature rises, the less products I use and higher the SPF goes. And to be honest, one cannot go wrong with simple and fresh look ever.
Today I will be sharing with you all the steps to achieve my go-to look although there aren't many steps involve. Only few products are used and multi-task products are my companions here. The inspiration for this post came from the Glossier and their beauty product. The whole idea is to use less but clever products to enhance natural beauty without masking it.
Step 1: Primer
Primer is the best friend of oily skin. My favourite primer for a very long time is MAC prep + prime skin visage. This is a special effect light reflecting silicon base primer which instantly minimize the appearance of pores, keep skin oil at bay and makes my foundation last longer than usual. It also revives dull complexion and gives a healthy glow to the skin.
Step 2: Tinted Moisturiser & Lightweight Concealer
Tinted moisturiser is a perfect choice for everyday makeup. Tinted moisturiser evens out skin tone without looking cake-y. My recent favourite is Caudalie Vinoperfect radiance tinted moisturiser. It gives sheer to medium coverage. It has SPF 20 which is essential element for me. To go along with tinted moisturiser, I dab few dots of Maybelline fit me concealer under my eyes. It’s gel like consistency conceals any discolouration under eyes and still looks very natural.
Step 3: Blush
Cream blushes are my another favourite product for achieving fresh glowing cheeks. I love the Maybelline dream mousse blush. It is easy to use and melts into skin for flawless finish.
Step 4: Tinted Eyebrow Gel
One swipe of Rimmel eyebrow gel and I am all set to go. It tames down any stray hair, tints and groom eyebrows. No need for eyebrow pencils or pomades as we are keeping the whole look very natural.
Step 5: Tinted Lip Balm
Benefit lip balm is my must have product. I carry it everywhere with me even if I wear other product initially. Moisturise lips with a tiny hint of colour is all you need for instant boost.
Step 6: Mascara (optional)
For wide awake eyes I really love MUFE smoky lash mascara. It separates lashes and gives a control amount of volume.
Step 7: Powder
I set all my makeup in place with Hourglass Ambient powder in Dim light. An excellent product to finish and polish the whole look.
A few spritzes of my favourite perfume Dior Ja’dore and I am all set to start my day.
